are u sure u want to replace the ceramic glass top,much beter to check the price of the unit, coz it is very expensive almost halt the price of the new one...dont try to replace it by ur self coz the glass cover is no waranty if u broke or wrong intallation,u waste ur money if hapen that,much beter to canvas first & call an expert tecnician to do it.
did you buy a power pack or a charger coz theres a big difference. sounds like theres no power going in other wise it would switch on without needing the battery at all, thats why your battery light just flashes

in these kind of problems, especially if its a laptop, you should send back your laptop to the manufacturer for them to fix it coz the parts are not really sold in stores and they are the only guys providing these computer parts.. and you don't have to worry about the installation coz they willd do it for you..
I've found the camera manufacturers are reluctant to sell parts to the public. Many times people attempt to install the parts, and butcher the part and the camera. Guess who gets blamed? The manufacturer! Even a seemingly simple to install battery door for the 2800 is not as easy as it looks. I know this because I just tried it. You may need to send the camera to an authorized service facility.
