I can't get my clock set on my aiwa cx-nma545 & I no longer have a remote.

We were able to set it before by accident. It's just that when the power went out, the clock no longer shows on the screen and it would be nice to be able to reset it.

The original remote is needed to get into the main menu, try www.aiwa.com contact customer support, also! go to www.ebay.com type make and model of unit and go through the list you might get lucky.

If the clock is not showing on the screen it would suggest something else is wrong, normally it would set back to 12:00 oclock, you can try unplugging the unit, press power and hold for 60 seconds this may reset the processor and return clock. On some units press menu and use the volume up and down to change time, each section will flash when menu is pressed to adjust clock.

I have an Aiwa cx-nma545 w/o the remote. What is the model number to the remote itself? Or do you know how I can replace it?

Volume Problems

Hello
If the mute funcction is ON, it will effect for all inputs. Here the problem is not with the mute function. It must be with the system control section itself. You must have thorough knoledge in electronics to go further. OK.

My Aiwa cx-nma545 keeps turning off.

Your system is in 'Eco' mode. If you are in this mode, and go 10 minutes without playing a CD or cassette, it will automatically turn itself off.

Here's how you get out of 'Eco' mode:

1) Go to the jog wheel assembly
2) Press 'Eco'
3) Press 'Enter'
4) The display will show "Eco Mode On"
5) Immediately turn the jog wheel, to turn the status from 'On' to 'Off'

I have an Aiwa cx-nma545 that I just hooked up to a Westinghouse SK-32h640g. The sound is very muffled. The sound is fine if I have it on cd or the radio but when on Aux Video I can barely here it.

On most TV's with speaker control there's a way to disable the TV's volume control effect on the level fed out to an external amplifier. Find it and disable it it or select FIXED for its level, or, while listening through the Aiwa, raise the TV's volume through its own remote and see if that affects what the Aiwa gets for volume.

Or, enable the TV's speakers but find the same interna lAudio setting and make it Fixed, but turn the TV volume down if you don't want to hear its speakers. That way, you could actually listen to the TV on its own speakers if you want, say, for casual watching of the Weather Channel or news, for example.
