Security password Zoom X6 ADSL2+ 125Mbps Wireless Modem Router with QoS Hello I wonder if you can help me. I bought the above wireless router and have only just got round to setting it up. The only problem is it is not security protected ? and other people can log on to our wireless connection ? as a pop up comes up saying other people are connected to your laptop. There were no instructions with the wireless modem to set up a security password. Can you help me?

By using your wifi security.
Log on to the router and turn on WPA2 security, choose a password, and you should be ok

there is 2 possibility 2 change in router first WEP or wpa security code if in your router need password for connect it then you need to find that key code to enter in iPhone.
Second if in router MAC filter is enable then you need to add your iPhone MAC address in allow list of router.
For that Connect your router to computer with ethernet cable then you can access it with following default link.
http://192.168.0.1
or
http://192.168.1.1
If you are not able to access it with above ip then check your computers ip address gateway ip is your router ip try with it.
Then it ask for user name and password.
Type user as "admin" and password as "admin" or "password" or blank.
Then you can see configuration page of router.
Click on WAN settings and set those settings as your internet service provider settings.

Clickon wireless settings enable wireless then enable WEP Security then add WEP code .It is your password to connect wi fi.Then save settings and restart router.
Then you can connect your wi fi network with that code.
First find the mac address of your iPhone in network setup menu then add that mac id in mac filter of router configuration menu.Then save settings and check.

Plug a network cable into the back of your PC and Router. The usually the default router page is http://192.168.1.1

Go to that page in a browser on your PC once you have conectivity. Try using 'admin/admin" to login, if that doesn't work try "Administrator/Password" keep trying a few different combos until you login to the router config page. From there you should have a section to setup the WEP/WPA key. Once you establish the security key you can set it up in your wireless lan card of your laptop.

Here are a couple of ideas to look at first, assuming you haven't tried them already:

1) Does moving the router help? Sometimes a new DECT phone or a microwave, or even a piece of equipment at a neighbour's house, can interfere with the signal.

2) Does changing the channel on your router help at all? If there are many other networks using the same channel, this might block your own signal.
3) If this does not make any difference, it might be worth checking your security settings.

Make sure the Connection Type is set to Static IP on the setup page of the router

Your ISP probably has some setup requirements from the modem side of the router that will need to be identified.
