LG LH-D6230 My system is doing great but the problem that recently it is unable to play many movies even some movies i used to watch on it.

The life of LG optical pick-up is Aprox.1000hours if it is more then 1000 hours used then just replace optical pick-up.

Would you like to make your LG LH-D6235 DVD Home Theater Region Free?

Follow these steps:

  1. Press the Pause button on your remote control
  2. Using your remote control enter the code 3, 1, 4, 1, 5 and 9 (If your unit does not enter the following mode which enables you to enter a region code, repeat steps 1 and 2. You may need to enter these codes in a shorter time span for them to work.)
  3. Press the 0 button on your remote control for Region free, 1 for Region 1 or 2 for Region 2.
  4. Press the Pause button on your remote control
  5. Power off your player and wait a few seconds
  6. Power on your player

Audio playback
1.bad rca jacks
2.could be connected to wrong audio lead rca jack
3.the settings in dvd player donot match the receivers example- dts or ntfs
4.make sure its regioned to your player some audio isnt on the disks
5.pc's usually have new cd formats that came out
cd's and dvd's for some reason in this age isnt being able to play fully in older equipment do to the change in cd/dvd formats which makes you go out and buy new equipment it happened to me not just 2 weeks ago bought a new dvd and found out it wouldnt play in my year old dvd deck had to go out and buy new dvd deck then disk and all my others played fine

I had a similar problem coming from South Africa to Australia and had to change the regional code setting.

Change to multizone format:

1)Ensure no disk in unit
2)Unplug unit from AC supply
3)Plug unit back into ac supply
4)Use remote control for the following commands:
5)Press the power key, the unit will come on
6)Wait until no disk appears on the display
7)Press sequentially the keys: PAUSE;3;1;4;1;5;9
8) "Code" will appear on the display
9)Press 0 (multizone)
10 Press sequentially the keys: PAUSE,POWER
11)The unit will turn off(standby mode), leaving the new regional code programmed. If you do not succeed at the first attempt disconnect the unit and repeat the above steps (1 to 10)
