Black and white screen

I recntly bought a used toshiba tv and when i connected my dwm-2600 system to it, the picture is only in black and white. but when i connect my PS2 to the same rc plug ins, everything looks perfect. all the settings seem fine on the tv. so i connected my dwm-2600 to 4 other tvs and it works good. i know the person i bought the tv from and i know it was in great condition. do you think it could be a compatiblity issue. please help, my PS2 doesnt play dvds as well as the dwm-2600.

Sounds like you are getting analog signals from your componet cables and a true digital input from your HDMI into your tv.

However that unit is Analog audio input x 1 only.
So i dont think your going to get true digital surround sound.
The problem being

Sanyo =

Inputs: Analog Audio x 1 Outputs: Composite x 1 · S-Video x 1 · Component x 1 · Digital Audio Coaxial x

Is this an NTSC compatible TV? The result you describe is what can happen if you try to use an NTSC Atari on a PAL TV. The color signals are different.

Toshiba 40RV525U. I bought it in Canada and now live in South America. With Antenna now the TV works just in Black & White (without Colors). I can not find where tu change NTSC / PAL (The TV does it...

Well, unfortunately your TV supports only the NTSC System, while the most of South American states are using the PAL TV System.
Your only chance is to connect a TV tuner supporting both system to make the conversion between the systems.

Atari 2600 does not have picture when turned on.

I just got a Atari 2600 as well and can't get it to produce a picture. The transducer and the chips are getting warm when I turn it on, so I know it is getting power. I have tried to clean everything with rubbing alcohol but nothing has worked so far. I have also tried about 7 different games all do nothing.

Is there some part or component that commonly goes on these systems? I have a friend who also bought a 2600 and he is having the same problem.

Need help w/ computer hook-up

Check if your laptop has a S-Video connector. If so, a direct S-Video cable should work.

Atari 2600 fuzzy screen

Hello, Are you using a newer flat panel or and older TV? IF you are using a newer TV the picture will never look very good. IF not, did you try working with the RF adapter? Check all connections. If all else fails try to get another RF adapter to see if that helps. I remember this being a bit problematic even when these were new. Wish I had a definite answer for you! Good Luck - Dr. Know
