Remote quit working...TV less than 1 yr old...changed batteries, etc. Seiki sent me a new one. TV not responding to it at all...tried new batteries, unplugging/resetting, etc. What am I missing?
What do I do when 1 station is in Spanish and 1 is being narrated while all others work in English and not narrated

Maybe have to program the remote for your specific model if the controller they sent you is a generic one. Google remote codes and your make model.Try newer batteries and make sure they're the right way round. Sorry for being patronising but you know what people are like. Never sure who's asking.

SOURCE: The TV will not respond to the remote and
Hello,
If new batteries did not fix the problem, then it means the problem is either from the remote or the TV.
You need to do some diagnosis to confirm the source of the problem.
Remote:
Check the remote battery terminal, see if its not rust. Also,
disassemble the remote, can check the connection between the terminal
and the remote board, see if there is no disconnection of any kind.
If
after checking and all seems well, then it means the remote is
defective. To confirm, borrow a remote, test it with the TV. If it
works, then it means you need to replace your remote. But if the remote
you borrowed does not work, then it means the problem is from the TV and
not the remote.
TV: There is a sensor in the TV that
communicates with the remote. If this sensor is defective, the remote
won't communicate with the TV.
The TV sensor might have loosed contact from inside of the TV or it maybe defective and need to be replaced.
So
do the above troubleshooting and let me know if the problem is from the
TV or remote. If problem is from the remote, you need to do a
replacement. But if otherwise, let me knows as well.
Regards.

SOURCE: TV doesn't respond to the remote control...can't change channels
You have to find out if the remote is sending out the infrared signal to the TV remote receiver or not, you can test that by pointing the remote at the digital camera, you should see flashing light on the camera screen when any one of the remote button is pushed (digital camera can detect infrared light). If get the flashing light then the problem is in the TV remote sensor.

SOURCE: remote code for Seiki TV 32"
The 4 digit code 0060 worked for me with a comcast remote - light gray remote with dark grey OK button. this was on a Seiki 22' LCD TV. I programmed the TV control on the comcast remote first by using 0000 (remote blinked twice accepting the code) then using 0060 (blinked twice again). This code seems to work. Not sure if the sequence or combination is actually needed.

SOURCE: I can't turn off my TV
Hi,
Maybe your logic-board is a little stressed.
If your TV doesn't response on your remote control, the only way to switch off is to unplug it.
After one minut you can plug it in and give it a try, no problem.
If it still doesn't work, you have to visit your dealer.
Kind regards,
Gerard

Make sure the remote is set to operate your tv and not a cable box or accesory. It's in the menu
