Once the timer is set, then you need to press the button to take photo, once you do that the camera will count down and take the photo. Good luck.

Your Finepix F10 does not support SDHC (High Capacity) memory cards.
You can only use standard SD cards with a maximum capacity of 2GB.

New technics are not always backwards compatible, sorry for that.

I have a Fujifilm Finepix S5200. Need to know if there's an option to set a 2 second timer PERMANENTLY, and not have to set the 2 second timer every time i take one picture. Thanks -Leo

Nnteen,
I'm sorry, but I don't believe that can be done. The settings for the timer should clear after you power cycle the camera. The timer is not the default setting, so it reverts.

Thank you.

Setting the timer

Press the 4-way switch downwards to cycle through the selftimer modes: First press shows the selftimer symbol, which means 10 secs delay, next press shows selftimer2 symbol, which gives 2 secs delay. When delay is set, press the shutter button to take the picture. The selftimer lamp will blink untill the picture is taken.

Camera is in japanese or chinese language and we need to change it to english.

go into the setup menu ("set") by pressing the menu button, and look for the picture of a little man yelling (he's speaking). That's the language set-up. Set it for english.
The self-timer is accessed through the arrow dial. The little picture of the clock at the bottom of the dial is the timer setting. The camera must be in the shooting mode to use the timer, not in playback. Here's a link to the owner's manual http://www.fujifilm.ca/x3717.xml

Camera will not connect with PC to download pictures

Hi I am vortash .. check for damage on your download lead and around the camera plug interface .. check that the drivers are still installed and reinstall them to make sure ... if you have a sd card installed remove it as it may be lose in the socket and the camera is trying to read it and can't .. check your batteries are ok .. try it on another computer .. if all this fails sounds like the camera interface has broken constant plugging in and out can sometimes cause problems with a loose plug .. hope tthis helps Regards Vortash

My photos are always blotchy and unclear

I had the same issue mate, I found that because this camera is ISO1600 i had set ISO800 in the automatic mode. Yes! in automatic mode you can still change the ISO ratings, I had set it to 800 which screwed all my photos.

Now i have set it to Auto and the camera is back to its excellent form.

I know F10 was sold as ISO1600 camera and most users tried to use highest ISO and failed.

Its an excellent camera just dont use high iso
