Are you sure this isn't a 4 beat sequence? such as 2-1-2-1?

Whenyou connect the power adapter into the laptop, does the power LED lightup? If not then - The battery adapter or the adapter's power lead or the laptop's powersocket could be faulty. Check power adapter's DCplug that connects into the laptop power socket with a multi-meter, the voltageshould be slightly higher than the voltage that is printed on the label on thebottom of the adapter. If the voltage is zero or way below the voltage that isprinted on the label then the power adapter is faulty and needs to be replaced. If the adapter is OK thenconnect it to the laptop and power it up, then look at the power/batterycharging LED light and wriggle the power plug in the laptop's powersocket. If the power/battery LED light flashes and in a certain position thisLED light stays firm, then the power socket is either faulty or it has a drysolder joint where it is connected to the motherboard.

you need do check:
1) no charging means adapter input problem, first check your adapter DC output voltage is ok
2) check DC jack socket on the motherboard:
--- DC socket any pin disconnected, you need use iron and flux to fix it
--- DC socket damage(broken),you have to change it
3) if DC socket connection normall, the DC/DC circiute near around DC socket some component damage, you need find a technacian to repair.

Check the IDE from hard-disk and the connection with the motherboard. 
Normally, a pc must show a screen even if the hard disk is not detected. For some notebooks this is not the case. So, if the BIOS does't detect the hard disk the screen stays blak. The bottom of line: it could be a hard disk problem or the bad contact that conects with the hard disk on the motherboard.

Also remove the battery and any other removeable plates below the notebook to check for additional screws. Check if there are any rubberized "feet" or plugs covering access to still more screws. Keep screws and their locations organized in case they are different length.

If it's only 10 months old it is still within the manufacturers warranty, so do not touch or alter anything to do with the charger or battery, as even though the battery is seeming to be the fault, it is normally the motherboard charging point that is faulty or the motherboard not recognising the battery is connected.
