No sound with pandora or ipod using usb cable

Iphone will connect to the unit and let you play and navigate with pandora, the same with the ipod, but there is no sound, you can see that it's playing but no sound at all, Cd and other features are working properly...

my phone has been activated with At&T, I have music already in the phone, If I plug in the phone to the usb, you will be able to see, pandora song and menus, you can select music etc, but no sound on the speakers, it does the same with the ipod mode. But here is the funny thing if I connect my phone with bluetooth everything works properly , but no videos... I'm guessing that it might be a cable problem. I also manually change the AV settings to wired , but no sound wired. help

  • 1 Activate your iPhone with a licensed wireless service carrier, and then register it with the iTunes network.
  • 2 Download audio files from iTunes. You can do this one of two ways. You can download music, podcasts, audiobooks and videos using the iTunes Store on your phone, or download them using the iTunes Store on your home computer. You must have an active account, which requires a credit card, to purchase audio files.

This is not the solution. I'm not sure the question was read. I am challenged with the same difficulty and it maybe that pioneer wants you to buy their proprietary cable CD-IU51

I have a JVC KW-AV60BT, pandora loads & displays but no sound comes through

Just got this unit and had a similar issue, but mine was getting the iphone to play at all. On advice of the sales rep I bought the kit required to view movies with your iphone. The kit plug into the back of your radio using rca jacks and then utilizes the usb port. I can now use my iphone to play audio, movies and utilize i heart radio.

Cannot get my ipod/iphone to play the video clips on my jvc kd-avx77 it plays the sound just not getting any video clips dvd player is working fine music plays fine on the ipod/iphone just cannot play...

Hello there, the JVC unit can play 2 video file formats these are JPEG/MPEG. To watch video you need to have USB audio and video cable for ipod/iphone, KS-U30 to the usb cable from the rear of the unit. When this connection has been made you touch [SRC] then select iPod. When you connect your ipod/iphone to the USB terminal if it is not selected automatically you can select it from the SRC menu. You can check this out on page 49 of the user guide.
Also the unit only supports certain file formats which are mpeg and jpeg and also of a certain resolution. This can also be found on page 59 of the user guide.
Hope this support has been helpful?

I was wondering how do I play music through my iPhone with this cd player. I have a direct cable but I'm not sure what to press to make it play through my cd player. Thank you.

Once you plug in your iphone and set it to play your song(s). Set your car player for AUX this will then pick up the device playing into the direct port. Hope this helps Fix ya up.

Trying to play Pandora radio via iPhone 4G using Denon ASD-11R dock connected to Denon 790. Connected according to manual. Used to work when using iPhone 3G. Will not now work via dock or via USB...

I have the same problem. Used to work even on Iphone 4 and suddenly it just stopped working about 10 days ago. Very strange as i have not updated my iphone (I'm on Version 4.02). My Denon dock is ASD-3W (wifi) connected to Denon 3808CI.
Any info appreciated.

Ipod disabled connect to itunes

you can reset its password....but you'll lose all your data here's how...
  1. Verify you have iTunes 7.5 or later. Apple recommends using the latest version of iTunes.
  2. Disconnect the USB cable from the iPhone or iPod touch, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
  3. Power off the device (Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the the iPhone or iPod touch to turn off.
  4. Press and hold the Home button while reconnecting the USB cable to iPhone. When you reconnect the USB to iPhone, the device should then power on.

Note: If you see the message "Charging... Please Wait" or you see the screen pictured below, let the device charge for at least 10 minutes to ensure the battery has some charge and then start with step 2 again.
  5. Continue holding the Home button while iPhone starts up. While starting up, you will see the Apple logo.
  6. When you see "Connect to iTunes" on the screen, you can release the Home button and iTunes will display the recovery mode message:

If you don't see the "Connect to iTunes" screen, then disconnect the USB cable from iPhone and repeat steps 3-6.

Ford Fiesta IPod connection problem

You need the specific cable from Ford, part number 8M5J-19C142-AA, Finis: 1529487 which has a USB and an aux jack. It costs about £19. You need to plug in both aux and USB and then connect the other end to your ipod. You can then scroll through the playlists etc using the dashboard controls. When you have selected your choice, press the OK button and the ipod should play. You can use the steering wheel controls to move forward or back through the tracks and to change the volume. The instructions in the handbook are not very helpful.

Hello, I have the pioneer AVIC 700bt. When I plug my Ipod nano into the USB adapter on the head unit, the Ipod display comes up right away and it shows that it is playing but there is no sound coming...

You will need to be using the CD-IU230V cable for the iPod.
After connections, you will also need to follow these step:
Press "menu".
Press "settings"
Press " AV Settings"
Press "AV1 Input" multiple times until it says iPod.

You will now be able to hear the sound from the ipod when it is selected as a source.

I have the pioneer DEH-P7000UB in a Vauxhall Vectra. I put the head unit in the car, connected my IPhone (not the 3G version) set the head unit to USB mode and it try's to read my IPhone then comes up with...

error 19 is a communication error code with the ipod itself so either the cable is bad or the connectiontion on the ipod or deck is bad or the ipod itself may have a bad rom for external use. this info comes straight from the tech support manual for Pioneer that we car audio techs use (even if you call pioneer they will tell you mthe same thing).

try this :

Disconnect the cable from iPod.
Once iPod main menu is displayed, connect the cable again.
Reset the iPod.
