If you leave water inside plastic timer or plastic hose parts, and water freezes during winter, then the plastic will split as frozen water expands.
Buy new water control.

By the way, if they made the same parts out of brass or copper, the brass and copper would expand instead of crack during a freeze, but the internal valves would be ruined anyway.
So plastic is a good material, just bring these things indoors or drain the water for winter storage.

1) Usually these timers want to know how often you want to water.
For example one setting might be for 3 days a week, and another setting for all days, and another setting for every other day.
2) Add a comment with in-focus photo of timer posted on Flickr for possible help.
3) You can also use Google translate. Enter whole sentences and paragraphs.
