Every first page out stops printing when page is halfway out of the printer. When I open the front door and close it, the page comes out with a full print, but has a mark on it where it was against the heat roller. Then a full plain white sheet comes out after it. It is pulling 2 sheet out of the tray for every one it is supposed to print.
It does this if I print a singe page or a multi-page document.

Re: Page prints half page then jams
I suggest you get a sheet of Card Stock (Heavy paper) and place it in the feed way. Then press the print button applying a slight amount of pressure on the Card Stock so it will feed throught the printer. The reason for this, in some cases I have been able to clear the paper track of debris that was deposited there over time. Worth a try. I have fixed a number of printers this way saving costly repairs. Bud

If the paper is halfway OUT of the printer, that means that the other half is stuck in the fuser. Open the toner cartridge door and remove the toner. Leave the door open. This relieves tension on the rollers. Grab the paper as close as you can to the back of the printer and pull the paper out carefully. Put the toner back in and close the door. You may have to power cycle the printer.
most likly hood is your exit sensor is faulty. The printer work in this way. if it does not print out all the document. it will print again. that is why you kept getting this same issue after a jam open and close door it will print again.
Front cover is open Close the front cover of the printer. Fuser cover is open Close the fuser cover located behind the back cover of the printer. Paper jam Clear the paper jam. See Paper jams and how to clear them on page 85. If the printer does not start printing, press the Go button. . Switch off the
printer and disconnect the power supply. Allow any residual charge
inside the all-in-one printer to dissipate before putting your hands or
any metal tools inside the chassis.
2. Pin down the exact
location of the jam. The 3 hot spots for a jam are before a sheet
completely leaves the paper tray, anywhere between the feed tray and
print carriage or between the print carriage and output tray.
3. Take off the front
paper tray if the sheet jammed while still in the front area of the
printer. If here, you should be able to see most of the paper.
4. Pull the sheet with
both hands and steady pressure. Do not tug as you might rip the paper,
leaving a piece deeper inside the machine.
5. Open the back panel to reach paper jammed between the feed-tray area and print carriage. Carefully remove the jammed paper.
6. Use the carriage
access door to get at a jam further inside the printer. You may need to
remove the print carriage to get to the jam.
7. Replace all parts and
return any access panels to their closed and locked positions. Plug
your printer back in and flip the power switch.
