If it is running hot it is running lean. The carbs are still dirty and need cleaned again and be sure you are having carbs synchronized.

SOUND LIKE IDLE SPEED TOO LOW.AND IGNITION TIMING OFF FUEL PUMP FAULTY.CHECK FUEL PUMP FUSE AND RELAY.ALSO BAD FUEL INJECTOR.HAVE CAR SCANNED LOOK FOR FAULT CODES.THIS SAVES YOU TIME AND MONEY.

Check your clutch adjustment and check the Idle setting see if it helps to idle it up.

you may have a problem with your idle sensor and also the engine has some possible electrical shorts in the wiring harness and other sensor problems. also check your ecm which is the computer brain.

when you removed the water pump, did you disturb the timing in anyway ???

I would start by replacing your automatic air intake and throtle body sensor. Check these 2 things out and let me know.

i would check fuel supply, volume adn pressure, i wold also look at the MAF sensor hot wire to see if it has a little chia pet growing on it.
