Solution A:
1. Disconnect from power source (automobile cradle and/or usb cable)
2. Slide the power button right into the lock position.
3. Slide the power button to the left and hold it for 10 seconds.
4. Your unit should have powered on after you released the power button
Solution B:
1. Disconnect from power source (automobile cradle and/or usb cable)
2. Slide the power button right into the lock position.
3. Apply light pressure anywhere on the touch screen with your finger.
3. Slide the power button to the left and hold it for 10 seconds.
4. Your unit should have powered on after you released the power button

My Nuvi 780 powered on like normal when I started my car. I drove 3 minutes to the store and turned off my car, turned my car back on and noticed the GPS didn't auto-power on... Haven't been able to get it to power on since.
