TI-92: Power loss while not in use.

Anyone had a problem with the 92 losing power over short periods of time? I think it might be a bad capacitor or something.

Hello,
You may be right. I have left batteries in my TI92 for years without using it. When I put in fresh batteries, it came back to life. The backup battery of my TI92 (bought a dozain years ago) has not been changed yet.

Hope it helps.

My ceiling fans stops after being on for 4 to 5 hours. Power is still on. I turn power off and back on and it runs again. Could this be the capacitor going bad?

Most motors use a start capacitor to create phase shift to get motor turning. So i would think once in motion it will continue to turn.
Now having said that what keeps fan turning! The system relies on electromagnets which pull the motor into next section ( think of a cut pie with separation between slices).
So what can cause this sequence to stop.
1. You have a quick loss of power.
2. You have a motor thermocouple (prevents burn out at a raised temperature)
since it restarts, although you mentioned after 4-5 hours of running, there was no mention how long it sat off. I would think this is not problem.
Power loss! Do lights flicker when AC comes on?
is the on off switch a pull chain or wall-switch?
If a flicker then power might be interrupted just as the fan motor has rotated in to pie slice dead zone. Which means slim that all flickers would effect, but could.
A wall switch can build up resistance or have poor contacts that by way of vibration lose power for a split second.
Remember cap.is used to start, so follow the path for quick power loss.
Also check connections at fan to wiring, a loose connection can open due to vibration, then settle down when off

Hey i have a 2010 mercury verado 150 hp .when i use the boat i lose voltage and battery power about 3 hours of trolling .I just replaced the battery still draining and loss of volts . Help please

You are using too much power over that period of time. Sure you have nothing else connected to it? If not, then something in your motor ignition circuit is drawing excessive power - not enough to short out battery but enough to drain it prematurely. Igniter? Ignition electronics, if any?

2004 chevy trailblazer power loss, high rpms, low ppms

Check the timing chain. Some times the chain will shift with worn teeth and get out of synch. This will cause the engine to lose power and back fire. Sometimes with a flame through the carb. I did that one once. Easy fix if it is the problem.

I have alot of CyberDome ll cameras (probably 30) on my system. They are getting older ~ 6-7 years and some are losing color. They still have great picture but when I cycle power to them they have color...

Most likely capacitors failing on the camera process board. They can also cause no picture, dark picture and sync loss. I use freeze spray to try to make the symptoms happen and heat to bring try to isolate it to an area. It's not so easy to change the capacitors if you do find which one (s) though.

Tv is blinking on and off

I think you have a bad capacitor in the power supply circuit. You need to have a certified technician look at it though. Get someone who is familiar with mitsu's though. Have a great day. Jay
