You need 3 RCA plugs... generally colored red, white, and yellow. on the back of the DVD player plug the yellow to video out, the red to audio out (stereo), and the white to audio out (mono). The other side of them goes to the back of the TV... the yellow video input 1, the red audio (R) input 1, the white Audio (L) input 1. Then take the cable service round coax cable and screw it into the back of the DVD unit where it says Coax. Get another short coax cable and hook to back of the DVD unit on Cable out, and the other side to the back of the TV under cable/vhs. And that"s it! Hope that helps you!

On the back of the DVD there should be two rows of inputs/outputs. The top row is yellow/white/red those are your video and audio outs. That is what you hook up to your tv. Bestbuy's website has a picture of it http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Dynex%26%23153%3B---Progressive-Scan-DVD-Player/9344934.p?id=1218088186421&skuId=9344934 .

I have a Dynex Dvd player and a ge universal remote 24922 but can find the code

The code should have been listed in the pamphlet that came with the remote. You may have to contact the Dynex Company help desk, or GE for the codes if you can't locate them.

Our DYNEX DVD player will not play burnt DVD's. Model # DX-DVD2 and S/N # 10F230017

Download VSO Video Inspector is a freeware and check your dvd with. If you play your dvd on pc the software plays both Pal and NTSC systems and maybe your dvd is in different system. Are you sure your Dynex plays both? Pal system has about 25 frames per second and NTSC is at about 29.9 Check the info file for your download and find out more.

I have a Dynex TV & a Dynex DVD player, Lost the remote to the DVD player but I have a PHDVD5 universal remote that I'd like to use for them both, or AT LEAST the DVD player. I just don't know...

TV code is 115

Will not find a code for the DVD player though. Im not sure which model you have, but Dynex will send you to MCM Electronics for original replacement parts, that is their provider. Check out www.mcmelectronics.com or give them a call at 888-235-4692 to see if they have your remote. Remotes for the models DX-DVD2 and DX-UPDVD2 are both listed for $4.99 plus shipping.

DVD Hookup

The input buttons on the remote are shared, e.g. for component, press once for component1 and twice for component2. Same for HDMI inputs. If I remember correctly, the video button is shared by the composite input and the svideo input.

Or you can use the input button on the remote to get each input directly.

Please check what the DVD player is configured for. For 480p (PS) it can only output through component.
