Question about Computers & Internet
I have a sharp lcd monitor and everythings plugged in the right way and when i power up the monitor, the light goes green and the screen turns on, but its black and after 5-10 seconds the light turns orange then starts blinking and the screen looks like its completely off with an orange blinking light.
Ok the problem is not the monitor it is either the cable checke each end for bent pins inside or the computer you are trying to use

I RMA'd this probablem as well. They asked the usual questions -- try it alone, check the connections, are you using VGA or DVI... blah blah. Eventually they could give me an RMA.
They have customer support via phone on Sundays in the US, which is nice. Total time from calling to RMA was about 20 minutes.

It could be your monitor is fine. It simply goes to a cycle when its turned on and does not detect any signal coming from your CPU, it simply goes on standby mode (hence the darker image and orange/blinking light.) have you checked the computer (CPU) part?

it is going into sleep mode, good luck with this.... i am currently asking how to get my hard drive to quite putting my monitor into sleep mode.
although it hasn't worked for me because my screen stays black, one of the options given to me is to try to start in safe mode and then adjust your settings to "never" on the energy/sleep/hibernate mode
some one else suggested that i remove and reseat the video card
hopefully one of those will work for you
