After formating my laptop,tcl k40 the sound and wireless stop

Now a days you are getting a restore partition and not a windows
disk, which is a joke and are being robbed. As for a motherboard
disk, if you where lucky enough to get one, its useless unless it is less than 6mo-1yr old.. When you install windows,which there is a lot more to it then just putting in a disk. You should go to the mfg of whoever made your equipment,and download all the new drivers,the reason you get the new drivers is to make your hardware run better
with the OS you are running, you need to get,chipset driver,,network(lan ) driver,, graph driver,,sound driver.. You install your chipset driver first,restart,graph driver,restart,lan driver,restart,sound driver. Some of the lan drivers are in a package with the wireless driver, if not then you need the wireless driver also. Pretty soon microsuc will tell you what games you can play and how long.

The sound driver and the wireless driver come along with the motherboard disk.you need to install them separately or if you dont have the disk or lost it by any chance, you can get the same version from another similar laptop with the same required drivers.This should help you out.
