Sounds like the circulating pump is faulty or the spray arms hav become partially clogged. Loss of available water will stop the spray arm motion.

Maytag quiet series 200 dishwasher spray arms won't turn

Have you tried tighten the spray arms? They may have come lose at the fittings so need to be tightened up. You can normally tighten them with your hand. Take any traps/filters out of the dishwasher and clean them.

The wash spray arms are not turning the water line is free and not pinched water is on wiring is right whats up model its a ldf7920st

This sounds like your motor is not circulating properly, this will cause the spray arms not to operate properly, or at all. Are you receiving any kind of error code on the display? Also, how far is the dishwasher filling up?

Top rack not cleaning properly, not sure if top spay arm is working ?

Ensure that the spray arm is movable. Inspect the spray holes in the top spray arm. If clogged, clean the openings. If no clog, position the spray arm in a certain position (e.g.: arms facing front and back). Then activate the dishwasher for a minute or so and open the door to determine if the spray arm has moved. If not, there may be an issue with the water feeding to the spray arm (typically via the water pump, etc.).

If the lower and upper spray arms do not turn what could be the problem? I have a MDB4100AWB and I of course have hard water in our area and wondering what is causing the spray arms to turn.

could be the plastic shaft extension that screws onto the motor shaft to drive the pump. The threads on the plastic extension would sometimes get stripped out so that even though the motor is running, it isn't driving the pump mechanism. Assuming the dishwasher is filling with water and motor is running during the wash cycle. also check spray arm openings to make sure they aren't plugged up.

Top rack won't clean

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. First of all please check the Water temperature by using a thermometer inside the dishwasher to measure the water temp. It should be as close to 125 degree F to 140 degree F as possible. Now try using the temperature boost feature if your dishwasher is equipped with this cycle feature and check if this will help your wash ability issues.

Now check the Powder soap by making sure that you store your soap in a dry environment and it is not stale and clumping together. Possibly try a different detergent like a liquid or gel. Also, make sure the dishes are loaded properly, or dishwasher is not overloaded.

To check the proper filling dishwasher will fill with water up to and around the heating element. If water is more below the heating element, you may have low water pressure or a problem with the fill valve. Try & listen if it sounds like it is spraying the water around with enough pressure.
For low water pressure, try to clean the screen at the entrance of the fill valve, sometimes the fill valve can fail and not allow the proper water into the dishwasher and may need to be replaced. And, check the spray arm and pump cover for splits or leaks

Low water fills are a very common trouble maker with today's dishwasher.

Please do rate this solution and revert for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

The dish washer is taking ages to wash and it not clean ing dishes well

ok so If your dishwasher has worked fine in the past but, suddenly, your dishes aren't clean after the dishwasher completes all cycles:
1) Check your water heater's temperature dial to be sure it hasn't been changed recently.
2) Be sure dishes haven't prevented the detergent dispenser from opening properly during the wash cycles or kept the spray arms from turning, the lower arm from rising, or the spray from reaching the upper rack's dishes.
3) During the wash cycle, listen to the spray arm spinning inside. If it seems to be spinning poorly, clean out the spray holes in the spray arm(s) with a stiff piece of wire; wait for the machine to cool, and then remove the spray arm(s) by unscrewing the hub cap and lifting the arm(s) off

I have a Beko D 2731 FW its about 4 years old and recently it has begun to leave a gritty deposits. I think this may be due to the top spray arm not running as freely as it used to. I would appreciate any...

Hello,
Here are a few things to check.

* Worn wash impeller (depending on design). Test by placing a glass upright in upper rack with full charge of water in the basin. Run dishwasher for 30 seconds. Glass should fill up. If not, replace wash impeller.

* Debris caught in spray arm holes. Remove spray arm and clean out with water and compressed air.

* Heating element burned out. Check water temp during wash--should read between 130 to 140 F.

* Insufficient water fill in basin. In most models, proper fill level is just up to the heating element. Much less than this will result in poor cleaning.
Hope this helps.
