Videoseven V7 E17PS 17" LCD Monitor Logo

Question about Videoseven V7 E17PS 17" LCD Monitor

1 Answer

Desktop Orientation My desktop has been shifted to a sideways orientation (due to my young boys "monkeying" with it). I received a suggestion about locating the video card icon on the desktop and changing the orientation, however I could not locate the icon. I am not sure what video card I have installed (Direct X?). How can I get this orientation changed? Do I have to do it in Safe Mode? Thanks in advance, Trey Merck

Hello again T-Bear, First off before we try the hard way lets try the easy way: -Hold the Crtl and Alt keys down. -While continuing to hold them down press the Up arrow key once. If that doesn?t work -Go to Start, Settings, Control Panel -Find the System Icon and double left click on it. -Click on the Hardware tab. -Click on the Device Manager button. -In the Device Manager box that appears find the icon labeled Display adapters and click on the + symbol to the left of it. -Below that you will find at least one object, highlight it by left clicking on it once then right click on it and select properties. -Click on the General tab and the top line will tell you the name of the card and in parentheses, the name of the driver manufacturer. I need this info. Let us know how it goes and please don?t forget to rate this post.

My screen automatically turned itself sideways how can it be righted

That's usually caused by a hotkey combination (if you're not referring to a tablet or phone). To rotate it back, right-click the Desktop, click Display, click Orientation and select Landscape.

Then look through all display settings and any display icon in the Notification area for graphics card settings and turn off the hotkeys so it doesn't happen again.

I was cleaning the keyboard and have somehow changed the monitor view to sideways can you help

the keyboard shortcuts to do this vary from device to device, it might be alt-shift-UP, ctrl-alt-UP, or ctrl-****-UP

but you can also access the menu for this by right clicking on the desktop and accessing your display drivers program, and going to either screen orientation or display orientation.

How to change a desktop screen from being sideways to normal ?

right click on an empty area of the desktop away from icons. Scroll down until you see ATI control panel or Nvidia control panel. Open the control panel and in the left pane you will see "Screen Orientation", change the orientation to "Landscape" or "0" degrees, whichever is displays.

If you do not have the video control panel option, then scroll down and click properties. Navigate to Dosplay settings and then to advanced settings. Look for "Screen Orrientation" and choose "Landscape".

Screen has turned sideways

Right click on an empty spot on the desktop and scroll down to either the Nvidia or ATI control panel. Once you are in the control panel, look in the left hand pane and look for something that says, screen orientation or screen rotation. When you select that it may give you the orientation in degrees of a compass or rosary. Make sure you place the monitor orientation at "0" degrees. This will bring the screen back to normal.

Screen has moved to sideways display7

right click on an empty area of the desktop > scroll down to where you would see something like Nvidia control center or ATI control center. Open the control center and look for display orientation, this is where you can change the orientation of the screen.

Settings

Typically its a function of your video card driver. If you look in the system tray (lower right hand part of screen you'll see several icons, one of which represents your video card drivers adjustments. However over each of them one at a time and a label will appear. When you find the video card right click on the icon and you should see a selection about rotation or screen orientation. If you can't find it let us know what video card you have installed and we'll try to help.
