Re: cant atach sky???
As with televisions sold in America, the first thing to look at is the output resolution of the Sky Box. Are you using a component input or a composite? Is this a NTSC system?

It could be your disc is scratched or DVD+R can't be read in the DVD player. Check for any scratches. Then pop in the disc in to your PC DVD, to see if it's readable.
The model is DH-6100P, 80gb HDD crashed then formatted it. Now no start-up menu, stuck please help with solution or firmware file for re-install if possible.
I removed the outer casing - 4 Screws. 1 at each side near the front and 2 in the back of the unit.
Then removed DVD top cover - 4 Screws, there are only 4 screws holding the cover down. (carefull not to drop them inside the rcorder).
Then lited out the DVD.
Took no mre than 10-mins.
connect it to the box with a SCART lead, select A1 or A2 with the channel up / down buttons and away you go (select A3 if you use the phono connectors under the front panel)
What are the compatible types of DVD's that the Daewoo DVD5800 player is supposed to play? Is DVD-R among the compatible types? Try playing the new recordings on a computer that has a DVD drive, or a friend's computer.
