You may want to delete the following items regularly to avoid memory getting low: • Messages from the Inbox, Drafts, and Sent folders in Messaging. • Retrieved e-mail messages from the phone memory. • Saved browser pages. • images and photos in images. Just a shot in the dark, but I have had users that have had this same issue because that had multiple applications loaded up on their phone.
One thing you could try it to un-install a couple of applications that you do not use all that much (ones you can get back easily if needed) this would automatically free up some memory and allow you to test out capturing an image.
Just shutting down an application will not free up that much memory, you will have to actually delete or un-install a few things to make a difference.
There are a variety of things you can do to free memory, like deleting pictures, images, ring tones and un-install apps. Just make sure what ever you un-install or delete, you first do not need or can easily get it back. I've had users think that some of these phones have a recycling bin on them like windows does :-)
You need to delete files from your memory. Pictures take up a lot of space, to be able to take additional pictures you should probably delete some of the ones you have saved in the gallery currently.
Delete files to make more space and you can take more pictures.
