Question about Logitech G15

1 Answer

Keyboard does not respond prior to windows launch

I use a Logitech G15 keyboard and G5 mouse. Prior to Windows launch, the PC does not respond to keypresses. This makes it impossible to boot from my windows CD and format/reinstall windows. I use a Gigabyte 965P-DS4 motherboard, and have verified that the USB ports and hub are working.

Have you configured the Usb Legacy support in the bios? If not you'll need to enable Usb keyboard support in the bios for the keyboard to function correctly or at all in a 16bit environment.

Unless absolutely necessary upgrading can be fraught with OS incompatibility issues as you have just found out. Either live with it, get another new keyboard, get a patch, or go back to prior OS

Some keys are not working on my g15 keyboard

Try the "On-Screen" keyboard - if it works then your keyboard is bad.

I can't find your keyboard, but there again I don't have all the details so, if you'd like to start here :-

http://www.logitech.com/en-us/support_downloads/

Enter the required options to get to your particular keyboard, you should be able to find out if there's a relevent driver for you.

Just got a brand new G15 keyboard (orange bl). Installed software, checked for any and all updates and it will not work! G keys appear to work, LCD works, but normal typing and number keys do not work....

plug the keyboard, reboot the computer, while rebooting type randomly on the keyboard while unplugged , when the pc returns to windows screen plug in the keyboard. allow it to enumerate then try the keyboard again.

if it is still not working get your invoice ready and call logitech for replacement.

Not on after pc comes out of sleep mode

Hi,
it's not a hardware-problem - it's a windows feature smile_wink.gif - (and it really is one !) - please try this:
To prevent a USB mouse from waking your PC

1. Open Device Manager by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking System and Maintenance, and then clicking Device Manager.

2. In the list of device categories, expand Mice and other pointing devices.

3. Right-click the entry for the USB mouse, and then click Properties.

4. On the Power Management tab, clear the Allow this device to wake the computer check box.

5. Click OK.
Don't forget to do this with your mouse + keyboard !
