I have a rca f35673mb 42" tv when i turn it on the picture is fuzzy and it flicker (for example like bad tracking on a vcr) is the tv worth getting fix does anyone know a solution
The flicker could be caused by a bad solder connection arcing or even a bad picture tube. If you notice the screen getting drawed in from the sides as well as top and bottom it may be in the power supply regulation circuits, but the focustat around the area of the high voltage transformer could also be breaking down. If it's over about 8 years old, I would replace it with a HDTV set. Check out the latest issue of Consumer reports for ideas. (No I don't work for them-I've just seen so many people just walk into a *Mart and pick out a TV like they were choosing a box of cerial without doing a bit of research to find one that would suit them best, that I'm trying to put out a word to the wise among us).
