My TV is stuck in standby mode. I've had this problem before and unplugged it and moved it off to the side for a few days after a few days sometimes it goes back to working how it should, I'm just wondering if there is a way I can get new parts or what is actually going on with the TV that is causing this problem. I leave it plugged in and whenever I turn it off I use the controller so what I do really is put it in standby mode and never really power it down. I'm not sure if this helps, but this has happened about three times already and each time I had left the TV in standby mode before going to work. Any help would be appreciated.
Look for swollen caps on the power supply and replace if needed. If caps look good, then replace your main board

Hi to all, My 42" Panasonic plasma have the same problem. It turned itself off and now red light flashes 7 times, than after short pause 7 times again. And so on. Any ideas what is wrong??

It is most likely going to be a defective power supply but there are some other circuits that can cause the problem. I would start by unloading the power supply.

Well I think what has happened is that the move has caused a failure, it well may have been bumped or jostled, these units are VERY delicate, and should NEVER be moved without using the protective crating, they came that no-one keeps, for any transport, (It is absolutely imperative that you keep your packaging these days as it should NEVER ever be moved without putting it back into that packaging for travel) they really do NOT travel well at all. This what you describe is a classic situation, we see it all the time in my shop. You have little option but to get a "Quote" for a repair. this is indeed unfortunate, but all too common from "shifted" item. Especially TV's.
