Hi,
I was just wonder, if at all possible was i able to print jus in black ink with my printer (EPSON Stylus Photo 825)???
I've looked at all the advanced settings and everything, seeing that it does give me that option, but it doesnt work...
I wanted to print in all black ink in the first place because i ran out of colored ink...
is this not at all possible...or do i hav to take the empty colored ink cartilage out for it to work??

Hi guys i need help i have problem printing to the epson cx4300,it s not printing black,i have change the ink tested it,made sho that the ink is not dry, reconfigured my computer but still, uninstall drivers reinstall on the computer.it jus not printing, what is the problem.
what you want is not possible. the Epson Stylus Photo 1290 does not use sublimation ink. it is strongly advised to only use genuine Epson ink to keep the print quality of your print head as high as possible.
Many problems regarding Ink with Epson relate to using cheap ink consumables. I recommend you buy original Epson black ink catridge. I know its more expensive but you should see the black ink clear.
Be sure to run head alignment and clean printer option first with the current black ink then replace with the new original Epson ink catridge
I have been having this problem all day today and believe I resolved it. The photo paper is thicker (I'm using the Ultra Premium Photo Paper by Epson). I have an Epson 1280 photo printer. I opened the lid and moved the lever to adjust for paper thickness, and voila––no more black ink tracks down the one side. Since photo paper is thicker, this may be your problem as well. Check your manual and see if there's an adjustment for things such as printing envelopes and change the setting. Hope this works for you! I wasted about 6 sheets of paper until I thought to adjust for paper thickness. Please let me know!
Have the printer to perform the ink nozzles. If you have a continuos ink system place it at the same level than the printer.
Good luck and merry christmas.
