Question about Activision Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare for PlayStation 3

When I go into the online section for Call of Duty 4 - the page downloads my rank without issue but when I try to find a game it comes up with "Donloading Game Settings..." but than it just stays there and if I leave it for an hour or so it does connect, what is the issue here?

We have the similar issues at my house. The playstation does not freeze - I can quit the game and go to the internet and browse other sites from the PS3. The connection issue seems to be with the C.O.D. 4 list of active games.

Problem continues even after reboot of PS3. Only way to fix is to reboot my router.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

if you are using a wireless connection the signal may be to weak. if not you can try deleting your game and save data. you will lose any single player saves you will also have to re download any map packs you purchased. the game should also do an update when you load again after deleting the game and save.

It might have something to do with your newtwork type.
Go on the network settings section and check your connection type. If you're using a wireless network it will probalby resolve by time, if not you should hear with your network service
