The beeps are probably BIOS beep error codes. Through a series of long and short beeps the computer communicates computer problems that occur early in the startup processes. It's likely the problem isn't your monitor but something in your computer box itself. If you can tell us what the pattern is we can start diagnosing your problem. We'll also need to know the manufacturers name, the specific model computer you have and what operating system you are running.

My monitor is black and the power button is flashing blue, ...

If the screen is black or blank, but an error message such as No Signal displays on the screen, the problem might be related to the video signal, also check the power to the monitor, test the video connection between the computer and the monitor to make sure it is connected correctly, and connect the monitor to a different computer.

Screen went blank

cslkkent, Your description of problem fits the common "black" or "blank n black" lcd screen symptom. Because 98 percent of all desktop cold cathode fluorescent lamp back-lit lcd monitors use the same basic lighting technology, it will be in your best interest to view some video clips of CCFL back-lit lcd monitor repair on YOUTUBE just for info on typical causes of black or blank n black screen symptoms and how some owners do repair on the cheap! Yes, your unit may have BAD capacitors on the power supply printed circuit board or one "thermally intermittant" component solder joint which will need to be resoldered. Just do some research first. Read fixya profiles of "buddymc" , "budmrtn" and my own files. Good luck on your quest. 12fixlouie

I have a proview pl2230wdb, was working fine ,then it went all white (the screen). shut it off and turned it back on ,and all was fine. But it happened again, and when i turned it off ,all i get is a...

grybicki, Sounds like "switch-mode-power-supply/ccfl inverter supply" problem. Is pl2230wdb "black" or is it "blank n black". Yes, it can be both or just "black". Do some reading in my fixya profile to understand your options that you have open to you. Your ccfl back-lit lcd display no different than any other brand in it's basic design and operation. Use warranty if possible! (you didn't state date of manufacture) Could be a failed solder joint (open circuit) or bad capacitors on "smps/inverter" board. First, do a lot of reading before making decision on fixing or trading up. Good luck with repair. Let us know what you will do after you do some reading. Reading is free!!! 12fixlouie
