Check the Manual or the Sony web site to get an understanding of Multi burst You could simply type Multiburst in your search engine. I gather it is a series of individual still s that play sequentially, but check it out.

I have a sony cyber-shot dsc-w30 and the setting dial is loose just a tap and it switches functions... Can i fix this?

Setting dial has internal carbon coating that seems worn out so it can not be fixed by cleaning etc.
Replace setting dial as it calls Control Switch Block and part number is as follows:
147958411... CONTROL SW BLOCK (SW110T) (W30)
Available with Part Store for $25 and handy person can replace it easily by taking apart camera carefully.
Thanks.

I have a sony cyber-shot dsc-w55 cammera, and my daughter turned the dial that changes the picture modes to many times and now it only records on every picture mode...any ideas how to reset it?

Based on the information you provided, it seems that the Camera is in Burst or Multi-Burst mode.

You may Initialize the Camera as follows:

Initializing the Camera will reset the settings of the Camera to the factory settings including date and time. It will not delete any data saved in the Camera.

Set the mode Dial on Camera. then, press the Menu button on the Camera. Then, select the SETUP menu and select the SETUP 1 option of the Camera. Then, select the Initialize option to OK.

Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!

Burst mode is set in the Menu of the camera. Then press left arrow instead of right arrow. You will see normal or burst mode. Select normal mode. Hope this helps.

The camera is probably is "Burst" mode where you hit the picture button and it contineously takes the picture. Hit menu and look to see if you have it set to burst mode if so take it off and it will work..I just found the answer on here :)
