Question about Acomdata (HD080U2FE-72) 80 GB Hard Drive
You just need to plug one end of the firewire (IEEE 1394) cable into the
external hard drive and the other end in the slot on the computer
marked IEEE 1394. Sometimes you have a IEEE 1394 slot on the front
panel, and sometimes it's just on the back of the PC.
If you find you don't have a firewire (IEEE 1394) port on your PC then you will need to get adapter that will change the firewire to a usb. If you have trouble finding one of those then install a card like this in your desktop:
