My hp deskjet 3740 was working ok then i refilled the black ink, all i could print after that is photos that i had in my hp photos. when i went to print out my mail no go, it's like it won't print text. then i uninstalled and reinstalled it, same thing. then i oupluged it and pluged it back in nothing.so i went into properties and i guess i really screwed it up because the printer wont work at all.it's not an old printer. drivers and every thing messed up. help...........please.

Please clean the print heads :
Press Setup up - Tools - Clean Print heads on the All-in-One.
If this does not resolve the issue , Reset the All-in-One.
Reset the All-in-One to the factory default settings by using these instructions:
1. Unplug the power cable from printer when the printer is powered on.
2. Press and hold OK and HELP buttons while plugging in the power cord.
If issue stil persists. Contact HP.

HP doesn't have the drivers available for windows 7 cause its only in Beta and they won't have it until windows 7 becomes official and available in stores. The only chance would be if you go into the control panel and then add printers. See if in there it has your make and model of your printer. If it doesn't then try a printer that is similar and it might install it. If you still can't get it to install then you'll have to wait for HP to come out with a driver for windows 7.

It is probably the "refilled" cartridges. Return them and buy a know good brand. Office Depot's brand seems to work fine in my HP printers. If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it and give a testimonial for my response

now i reinstalled again and did a test page and it printed out ok, but i still can't get it to print mail.
