File error very so often after clicking a few photographs the camera shows FILE ERROR . On the first review the camera displays the photograph there after the photos are lost. the only solution to the problem is to format the memory card after which it clicks a few photographs & then the same problem occurs. is it the problem of memory card or a problem with the camera

It could be either. There is not any way to tell, but if the problem is too bad I would replace the memory card first and then address the issue within the camera if it continues. David Millier Advance Camera Repair

View image files on my P90 display

Not really. Most cameras, including the P90, are designed not to show images not captured on that device (or at least the same model device). If it's a paper map, you could always try to photograph it. Photographing something off a computer screen is a little harder.

Camera not properly reading memory card

The problem stems from deleting some of the images from the PC. You need to copy all the files onto the PC, and delete all of them from the card on the camera. Then reformat the card on the camera. Then take 1 picture on the camera.

After you have just 1 new photo on the card, try copying the older files back onto the card in the same directory as the 1 new photo. This may work.

If it doesn't work, the problem may be with missing hidden thumbnail files. In that case you may not be able to get the photos to display on the camera again.

Photographs not being displayed

Do the pics show when you press the playback button? Does the menu display? If the display works, then check the menus to see whether image review got turned off. If the display doesn't work, it needs to be repaired/replaced.

File error when viewing the still photographs and movie videos

Try putting in a different memory card that you may have lying around and see if you can still take pictures and videos. If that works then you may need to go into setup via camera and format the memory card. If another memory card doesnt work it may be the camera. Let me know if this method doesn't work and I could be more than happy to give you another solution.
