TV Won't Turn ON

This afternoon at about noon i went and turned the tv on and i watched it for about an hour, then it just off on me and it would not turn back on. I came back a half an hour later and it turned on and looked fine. I let it warm up for an hour and then i turn it off. I came back four hours later and it would not turn on. I got it to make the sound a TV makes when you turn it on but then i didn't think it was on so i push the power button again and it turned off. I have not goteen a response fron it sense then. Please Help i just got a great deal on this tv and now this happends. Thanks Eric

Well i just acquired a Mitsubishi VS-60719 60 in. Rear...projection TV the people were throwing out si i said i would take it and try to fix. well i went on internet to fine manual after i found that the power button would only come on - blink - then go out. did some reseach and come to find out that there is a lockout feature for the front panel of the TV - well low and behold it said to hold in the menu button for 8 seconds to deactivate the front panel lockout - did that and BAM i had a 60 inch TV that works like a champ all for FREE and reseach and gas money lol. if you lookup the manual for the TV it tells you on page 39 !!!!

Are you getting any response when it 'doesn't turn on' like can you hear the fans spooling or anything? I would begin with verifying all the grounds are properly secure especially the lamp switch cable this can become loose possibly causing there not to be a good ground I've seen it happen on vivitek TV's Verify the TV is OFF and unplugged before you touch anything check the grounds and verify what you can see is properly set. If everything looks ok, check to see if theres a lot of dust in the fans and so fourth, and if not that then replace the power supply.

My Vizio VX37L HDTV won't turn on. Was watching it one day & it turned off by itself. Replaced power supply with new one with no luck. Orange light comes on but will not turn white.

reset the tv with the tv off, but plugged in hold down the soarce botton on the tv for 5 seconds it should click on and work. if not then there may be curcuit board issues. i found the same tv on the side of the road as somewone was throwing it out, it was leaning aganst their trash can. i brought it home. plugged it in and it went on and inediatly went to the orange vizio light. i rest it and it's been perfect ever since is my comoute monitor now...good luck i hope that fixes it for you..

The day date always now switches over at noon instead of midnight. I've tried to reset it correctly several times, but it doesn't work. what do I need to do?

Hi!

The problem you described is caused by incorrect setting of the hour: AM and PM must be set correctly, AM before noon and PM afternoon.

Please let me know if it helped,

Hi, My watch is changing date at 12 noon instead

Your watch is 12 hours out of step. (The date changes every second revolution of the hour hand.)

Wind your watch forward 12 hours, (you may have to reset the date) and it will then change around midnight.

My Insignia NS-LDVD32Q-10A Tv Negative Picture

I have the same exact tv and the same exact set of problems, I was watching a movie through my xbox 360 connected by a hdmi cable. All of the sudden (noone walked by it, noone touched it, did not change the channels, didn't hit the remote) the colors just kind of "reversed". very very strange, don't know whats going on with it. And of course we can't find our reciept either, we even bought the extended service plan. A lot of help that did if we can't find it.

Tv went out after loud pop and has clicking noise does not turn on

If you have a Sony DLP, then the loud pop you heard is your lamp.  The lamps last approx. 4K-6K viewing hours.  Read your manual for replacement part number to reorder and very simple to replace yourself.

Date changes wrong time

thats because analog watches don't know the difference between AM/PM. First reset the time, moving the hour and minute hands another 12 hours will let you know exactly what mode its in (am/pm) first allowing you to set the date correctly.

Picture went out and all the tv does is make a buzzing sound

The horizontal output transistor drives a transformer that gives you the high voltage to light up the picture tube, either the transistor or the transformer have gone bad, sometimes both have to be replaced and sometimes the transistor fails for no reason by itself.Be safe and call for help if you are not familiar with tv service.
