When I put a DVD it says it's loading but it never plays the DVD. It also keeps spinning and then slows down like it's going to stop spinning then it starts spinning again and it still says it's loading. Please help, got this at the place I used to work at for free. Not sure what else to do.

Re: Keeps saying loading but never shows picture
From your description it sounds like the computer optical drive is trying to “find” the index track on the disc but not succeeding -
Does the disc appear on the desktop or in explorer ( windows) or finder (Mac)? If not it is not loading completely
Do other discs load correctly ?
it could be the individual disc has problems, and if it was created on a computer optical drive , it may be readible on some drives and not others
There may be an issue with the drive itself such as the optical read head being misaligned or losing calibration over time
If this on an older computer, and the drive has failed, there are many inexpensive choices to replace it with a USB external optical drive, which run from about $20 and up

Your toshiba is not spinning that's why it keeps on saying loading. Unplug the dvd Open the device, once open plugin the dvd and put the dvd cleaner in the player. take your finger on the top where the dvd disk is and spin the disk. What happening is that you are cleaning the len. keep spinning until it spin on its own.Put the toshiba top back on and clean again. It should clean on it's on. Now you can play your dvd. Clean your dvd on a regular basic.
I had the same "Cannot play" problem - happened suddenly, I don't think I was doing anything unruly at the time.
After checking repair (exchange) prices in excess of $250 from Sony, I decided to open the cover to see if I could see anything wrong - normally a futile exercise with electronics except that in the past I have cleared errant disks that have lodged themselves near the drive/player at the rear of the library.
Upon opening and watching the library try to load and play I noticed the drive itself was not spinning the disk once loaded. It would sit for awhile, thinking about it I'm sure, then would unload and load the next dvd, again failing to spin.
I thought okay, maybe try to spin the dvd while in the player to see if it's jammed or otherwise hard to turn. It was not hard to turn and spun freely. In fact, when I put my finger through the hole at the exposed side of the player at the hub to spin the dvd, clockwise, it suddenly started to spin - and play!
I put the whole thing back together to test and all seems to be working fine at this point. Not sure what would cause the motor to stop spinning and remain in that state through poweroff/on cycles etc. but I'm sure this is not the last time I will have trouble of this kind.
I would note that when replacing the library back in its home on the shelf, be careful not to tip the library, especially toward the player area because the disks will spill out of the carousel near the player and become jammed when you power it on and attempt to load. A final tip of the library away from the player area may clear this if you hear the disks rolling out of their slots and you don't want to open the top again (it's a darned heavy box when fully loaded).
I have the same problem. when i put in a disc while holding down the little button that makes it think it's closed, it starts to spin and if i keep on spinning it it will say loading until i stop spinning it, then it just says no disc.
Sorry, no suggestion other than don't buy Samsung. That's my conclusion after owning the same model. It worked fine for a while, but now won't load any DVD... usually. Sometimes it will play one, but more often it won't. Mine tries to load ("Loading") for a long time, I hear the DVD spinning, then ultimately the screen displays "This disc cannot be played" or something to that effect.
