How to clear a full mailbox on a uniden 6.0 phone

Here is Uniden's online link: http://www.uniden.com/index/home.cfm
Mid page you'll find a spot to look for the owner's manual to your phone.
In the event the book fails to offer any help or "how to" instructions to remedy your problem, and you are still unable to clear your mailbox entries, contact your cell phone provider for tech support. The problem may be on their end.

Our school has a Siemens 500 OptiPoint 500 advance phone that has a greeting one. Can't find out in any of the manuals as to how I can go about changing it. Can anyone out there help me?

We always programme the voicemail to 555. If you have something different change what is below, which is our 'one sheet' user guide from www.dschiltern.co.uk

All Types of Phones

1. Your mailbox number will be the same as your extension number.

2. Default password is 1 2 3 4

3. Voicemail group number is 555 (unless programmed differently)

Before callers can leave voicemail messages you must activate your mailbox and record your greeting message. We would suggest something along the lines of

"You are through to the voicemail of . . . . I am sorry I am unable to take your call at the moment but please leave a message after the tone and I shall get back to you "

To Record Your Greeting Message

1. Dial the voicemail group number (usually 555)

2. Enter your password (default is 1234)

3. Keep pressing 3 to scroll to greeting messages

4. Press 8 to toggle between your two greeting messages

5. Press 0 to change the message and follow the instructions.

To leave voicemail just press 'Release' or hang up.

Responding to Voicemail

On a display phone you will see "You have messages" on the top line and "Display messages?" on the bottom line. Press tick twice to go to voicemail and then enter your password.

On Siemens 'Entry' phone or display phones with a 'voicemail' button, just press this button and enter password when asked.

On ordinary analogue phones you will get broken dial tone. Dial the voicemail group number (usually 555) and enter password.

In all cases you will then be able to listen to your messages.

To delete a message press 0. It will ask you to confirm by pressing 0 again.

Cannot figure out to set answering machine on my vtech, I recevied as gift.

Turn on the answering machine by pressing the on/off button on the base. Set the time and date by pressing the Time/Set button (to the right of the menu button) and pressing Change until the correct day or time is heard. Then press Time/Set again.

To record a message, press Menu until you hear "Set Outgoing Message", then press Record and speak the message (include the mailbox info if you are using them). Press any Play/Stop button to end the message.

Set the various features by pressing Menu to access each one, then press Change to change the setting. Press Time/Set to lock in the change and press Menu to change the next feature. Press a Play/Stop key to leave the menu.

The most important one is "Set Announce Only" to Off for callers to leave a message.

All messages will go into Mailbox 1 unless the caller indicates a different mailbox. Press the Mailbox button to hear new messages if the mailbox has a mix of new and old messages. Press the button a second time to hear all messages. Skip/Quick lets you advance to the next message and Repeat/Slow will let you hear a message again.

Press Vol (up) to adjust the base speaker volume higher during playback.

In the menu, the first option lets you set the two digit security code to access the messages when you call in from another phone. When calling press # followed by 1, 2, or 3 to access the desired mailbox. Press #4 to repeat a message. #5 to skip. Press *0 to end the remote call.

For the full manual, see: http://www.vtechphones.com/vtechphones/index.cfm/support/manuals/ and scroll down to 5866.

I hope this helps.

(all this assumes the base is on (connected to power) and connected to a good phone line. Without power it will not work at all. I test phone lines for dial tone with an old corded phone.)

I don't want to delete a staff's mailbox who is off on sick leave but callers are still leaving messages eventhough I changed the message to the date the employee returns - is there other options

You can change the greeting from a prime to an alternate greeting, record the alternate message that the person is on extended leave, then set the mailbox not to accept messages.

My phone is Norstar M7324. I can't get voicemails. I have customers called and left voicemails but I can't receive them. I use Feature 981 and it tells me no messages everytime. Any advise? Thanks.

Maybe the callers are leaving messages in the General Delivery mailbox? From your phone, dial Feature 981, when it prompts you for a password, press the button under "OTHR", and you will be prompted for the log. (The log is the mailbox and password combination for a mailbox not assigned to your phone.) If you use 2-digit extensions, the General Delivery mailbox is #10, for 3-digit extensions, the mailbox number is #100, and etc. The default General Delivery mailbox password is "0000". So, using 2-digit ext's, the log would be 100000, then press # or OK and you can retrieve the messages. Write back if you need more help.

Can't find how to set my voicemail message on Panasonic KX-T7431

Thanks for all the helpful information! First of all, I think you have a TVS/TVM voice mail system. That's good, but what does the lady say when you dial 265 or 165 from either your phone or a phone that works?

If you have voice mail set up, the prompt would be to "Enter your password then #" or "You have X new messages" if you don't have your password set. If you don't get ANY of those on your phone, but do on someone else's, you don't have a mailbox.

Mailboxes are added from the System Owner's mailbox (999) by
option 6 then 1. Once you have a mailbox, you do use option 5 and 3 or 2 or 1 for Name, Password, and Greeting.

Since there is little difference between the models of voice mail, I have attached a TVS-50 manual. The instructions for adding a mailbox start on page 280 (or use the System Manager's Guide tab on the left).

With any luck, you'll get voicemail too :-)

Need setup help for ep5962

first set day and time... menu, mailboxes, set day/time, scroll to day, set, select, ok... then scroll to current time, set, dial pad four digits, 2 for am or 7 for pm, select save. now power on line 1 or 2 or both. phone is preprogrammed with 'hello, please leave a message after the tone.' to record your own use menu, mailboxes, select setup 1 or 2, then review/chng oga, then record new oga, then ok. record when screen changes, choose stop when you're done. shortcut: press and hold record, press and release mailbox line x, release when finished. you only record one line at a time, so you can have different messages on each line. even if it's the same, you must record each line. since you can only record one message the shortcut would be useful for an 'out to lunch, be back about 1-30' sort of message. then re-record a standard message when you get back from lunch. 'course, you really don't need an 'out to lunch' message, since people are accustomed to answering machines at any time of day. all the caller needs to know is that 'i can't get to the phone right now.' and they appreciate it when you keep it short.
