Question about Logitech R-20 Computer Speakers

1 Answer

Bass destortion Hi, i recently purchased the logitech r20 2.1 system. first i ran it on my onboard souncard, i was a bit disapointed in the subwoover having this hollow dump dump sound. Now I know this isn't rite cause I live for bass and I have 2 12" subs in my car. so today I bought a Creative Sound blaster Audigy 24bit up to 7.1 channel. Thinking this would fix the problem or at least give me a slider bar where I could turn the bass down just a bit. Well, didn't fix the problym and yes, there is slider bars for the bass in evey setting exept for the 2.1 setting. Will someone please help me!

Logitech Pure-Fi Elite Speaker System

Hi,
Two things,
1. You get static charged , from your surrounding ,ie the couch or bed you are sitting in or the the chair you are one before you go and disconnect the ipod.
2. The Logitech is not properly grounded. Check for missing rubber pads below. Also check the earthing at the wallsocket where it is connected

Thanks

Logitech r-20 speakers

Hi again andrew63,

There are two possible methods of adjusting the bass and treble output to your Logitech R20 speakers:
1. Hardware - if you feel like experimenting or working with electronic gadgets, you can connect an external preamp with tone control or graphic equalizer between the PC and the input of the speakers/amp; and/or (probably the easiest)
2. Use a software (to listen to your music files/medium) that has a virtual equalizer such the old MusicMatch Jukebox or as an add-on/plug in.

Btw, thanks for asking me to be a Tech Buddy.

Protect light

Set your Filter Switch to LPF.  Turn the Bass Gain/ level all the way down temporarily. Set your Crossover to below 100HZ.  Then Turn on the system with a Bass test sound.  Turn up your bass Gain/level until you get distortion.  Then turn it back till you just get the distortion out. Then do not warn everyone that you will De-nad them if they touch your settings.
