Question about Sony KV-13FM12 13" TV
Your brother might have a power problem since the same thing happened to both sets. The 'loud clicking' sound could also be the high voltage arcing. If this is the case there may be water condensation on the picture tube or high woltage circuits causing them to arc shutting down the set. This will happen in cold locations where the set has been brought in from the cold or if open gas heaters are being used. Once the arc starts it will carbonize(burn) the insulation. This will cause permanent damage.(sometimes)
