SOURCE: Croton Men's All Stainless Day/Date Sport Bracelet (CA301091SSDW)

I had the same problem & called Croton. If the band has arrows on the underside of the band they are pins that are pushed in. If that is the case, just find something like a punch small enough, or very pointy, and tap the pins out in the direction of the arrows underneath the band. If there are no arrows on the underside of the bands, then the pins might be threaded & screwed in.

Changing battery in Croton silver dollar watch.

Tip & How-To about Watches

Changing Watch Batteries
Lots of posters ask "what is the battery in my (name of watch)" with a view to changing it yourself. This is a bad idea for many reasons. You don't have the tools or knowledge to remove a rotary screw on back, or the gasket sealant for a waterproof watch. Some fashion watches have 4 traditional screw and need professional grade jeweler screwdrivers. Also, there are about 20 batteries commonly used in watches, in various sizes and internal technology, Lithium Ion, Silver Oxide and Manganese Alkaline. If you buy them, you generally have to buy 10!

Don't sweat the details. Just take the watch to your local jeweler. They have all the batteries at hand and the tools to remove the back. It is done whilst you wait for $8 to $15!

I need to know where to find the serial number on a Croton Chronomaster watch.

Serial numbers are always in the back of the case or on the movement. Take to a local jeweler.

Can't get my croton watch to work.

There are a few possible reasons why your watch is not working:
  1. The battery is dead (sometimes even new watches have a dead battery in them).
  2. The plastic piece between the crown and the watch case was not removed (this protects the battery from wearing down until you receive the watch).
  3. You bought a watch with a damaged movement and it just will not work period so you may have to return it, exchange it, or have it repaired
These are the 3 reasons why your watch could not be working. The reason will fall into one of these 3 categories, so I hope this helps!

Croton automatic watch, band problem

Unless you have the appropriate tools for the job, it is likely that you will mark or damage the links taking them out yourself - any reasonable jeweller will be able to perform this service, normally only costing a few dollars at most. You could also return the watch to Croton to get this done if you prefer; http://www.crotonwatch.com/contact_us.aspx If you are still determined to do it yourself, then it is fundamentally just a matter of identifying the removable links (they will have a small screw head visible on the side), buy the correct size screwdriver(don't get a cheap one, it will do your watchstrap no favors) then it is simply a matter of unscrewing the link pins required, reassembling the pin where you wish to rejoin the strap - use loctite or similar to keep it from undoing, but be careful not to get this in the moving parts of the strap. if you can post a close up picture of the removable links from all sides, then i could talk you through it in more detail. Hope this helps :)
