Question about Stihl Saws
That could be caused by a number of things. A compression test would help narrow it down. You could also pull the muffler and visually inspect the piston and cylinder for any scoring. If you do a compression test look for 90psi or more. If around 60 or less then there is the problem for sure. Between that it still could be a scored or worn cylinder and piston or bad rings. Igniton and fuel issues could also be the problem so you need to do some trouble shooting to narrow it down.
