LG phone my phone is on a roaming service even though im at home! what can i do to take it off the roaming service?

Buried in the phone settings, there will be an option to select the service provider manually or automatically. First port of call is to see if this has been inadvertantly set manually to a "foreign" provider. If it has, then changing it to Auto should sort you out. If it's in auto, but still misbehaving, then try selecting your own provider manually. A.

it stands for Roaming - which you may or may not be doing. (ie. mountain areas get sketchy reception and will access whichever tower is closest, which subsequently leads to being termed as "roaming" even though you should still be within your area code range). you should be able to get it off by going through your menu options to the display settings and choosing to not have notification when you are "roaming".

Try putting a plus (+) sign in front of the country code you are trying to dial and then remove the leading 0. for a UK number of 01234 567890 it would be +44 1234 567890

LG KS360 Signal in and out and roaming all the time
Mine does the same thing. But that actually is because my house has terrible signal in certain parts... The best thing to do is to make sure that where you do makes call ect. is somewhere with very good reception..

Something like that tho can't really be helped.. I think this phone is just generally terrible for getting a good signal.

Your phone is programmed with parameters to trancieve from a particular network. It roams when you're outside the coverage area or when the programming parameters have been altered in some way. Check your settings or refer to the network's programming unit to have the parameters entered correctly... then you'll be connected to the network services.

The one you got from Ebay is defective. you were scammed. There is no such thing as the American Roaming Network, ARN is like a collect phone call service. You were scammed. Return the phone if you even can. sorry about that

No signal
Your phone may be provider locked
If there is no service provider in the region you are in that has an automatic reciprocal arrangement with your provider you will find no signal, regardless of the available service.
There are workarounds, but you have to make the arrangement with your provider before leaving home or make an international call by landline to your service provider

Wont fully power up after going roaming
Sounds like a serious glitch in the phone's roaming mode. If the photos and numbers are in the internal memory, you can't get em off if the phone won't power up, no matter what you do. Have you tried the phone back in your home networks? Try taking the battery out and then putting it back in and powering it up when you're not in a roaming area.
