Question about JVC AV32F476 32" TV

1 Answer

Tv will not power up.

When I apply power to the TV, there is not sound or image. The timer green light remains on. When I hit the power button on the tv or the remote control the green light does not goes off. This happen after a power surge (power failure). I will appreciate your help. Thanks.

This happened to our TV also. I did try replugging it, but nothing.

Should I try to replace the fuse, or is there reset button somewhere on the tv that will reset everything?

Gents the only fix i found was when i slide the back cove back about three inches every thing works fine. The only damn thing i cant figure out is how to remove the back cover completely to look for a loose connection.

Silly question but, did you try to reset the TV by unplugging it for 2 minutes then plugging back in? Its worth a shot if nothing else.

verify that you have no image on all inputs. If it remains dark, unplug it and push the power button for about one minute, then plug it back in. See if that resets your TV.

If it remains dark, use a flashlight and angle it against the screen with the TV at a station where you can hear the sound See if you can make out shadows or shapes. If you do, then it is your backlight that has failed.

Flashing green light

Did you try this yet

SYSTEM RESET
If the TV will not respond to either the remote control
or the front panel controls and/or will not power Off,
press the SYSTEM RESET button with a pointed item
like the end point of a paperclip. The TV will turn Off
and the TIMER light will flash quickly for about one
minute. When the TIMER light stops flashing, you may
turn on the TV again. Changes you made the last time
the TV was On before you used the SYSTEM RESET
button may be lost, however, the changes you made
previously are not lost.
POWER/TIMER Indicator
The green light is a multi-function indicator. This light
will flash rapidly for about one minute each time the TV
is plugged into the wall electrical outlet, when power
is restored after a power failure, or using the SYSTEM
RESET button. Do not attempt to turn on the TV again
during this period. Wait for the flashing to stop and
the light to turn off, before attempting to turn the TV
on. While the TV is powered on, the light illuminates
steadily. If the TV has been programmed to turn on
automatically using the Timer feature,

We plugged in the tv and hit the power button the green timer light blinked for about a minute. We hit he power button and it stayed on for about 5 second and turned off. We just bought this tv used and...

This is a common problem with this kind of tv. When you give the unit power the green light will blink because it is telling you that the projection lights are warming up. Sometimes it will take up to a minute. When you hit the power button again after only 5 seconds it told the tv to power off. I hope this will help you out.
