There is an easy way to adapt the cable.

Any good computer shop will have the adaptor.

Take the HDMI cable to them, and tell them you want an adaptor to go to composite signal.

(I know that they're made, many of the graphics cards I use to build computers come with that cable adaptor)

You also might try Best Buy or Radio Shack, but you might not have much luck with them.

My 52" Toshiba DLP just dropped an HDMI connection... There are two connectors on the back, both have worked fine until just now when one disappeared from the inputs menu on the screen.

Hi,
I'm not sure about your tv model as question post shows it is Toshiba 52HM84 that has one HDMI input at rear and you said 3 HDMI inputs in your tv.
Please unplug tv from wall socket for minute or so to get it reset, replug back in, turn it On and check its HDMI inputs appear or not.
Also check for Reset option in Menu for factory default settings that can also help you to get back disappeared HDMI inputs.
If all that does not solve the issue then it seems hardware problem with HDMI circuit board and tv repairman is needed for visual check to get it fix.
Hope these info will help you.
Thanks.

My Logitech Harmony does not move my Toshiba TV between inputs

It all depends on the Logitech remote's Harmony features. Can it you place your original Toshiba remote IR sensor up to the IR sensor on your Logitech and learn from the Toshiba remote?

Toshiba REGZA 37AV500A LCD TV when using HDMI input picture and sound intermitantly blacks out for about 2 seconds

Does this happen with all the HDMI inputs. If only the one then jack is bad. Replace the main board. If on all HDMI inputs see if replacing the cable helps.

Connecting to HD TV

This TV has no HDMI input socket. It Has a DVI input socket. Therefore you will require an HDMI to DVI converter adapter or an HDMI to DVI cable. The DVI is video only so you will require audio cables from your Sky box (Audio L and R ) which will connect to the back left of your TV (Audio L/R sockets next to the s-video and component video connectors)

Toshiba Tv - Does it have a digital tuner?

That unit has a NTSC tuner. May be HD Ready but it does not have a digital tuner. Unless you live quiet close to a local Broadcaster, rabbit ears would be useless.
The only way you would be able to get HD is using a HD Set Top Box, HD Satellite System,
or HD Cable BOX, using the Componet or HDMI inputs.
Hope this helps
