I have a toshiba flatscreen tv model 26 wl which claims to be HD ready but does not have a HDMI input socket, only composite etc. All outputs from my set top box etc have HDMI outputs. Can I solve this and show HD pictures from set top box etc
There is an easy way to adapt the cable.
Any good computer shop will have the adaptor.
Take the HDMI cable to them, and tell them you want an adaptor to go to composite signal.
(I know that they're made, many of the graphics cards I use to build computers come with that cable adaptor)
You also might try Best Buy or Radio Shack, but you might not have much luck with them.
The location of the connection ports is in keeping with today's standards. They are easily accessible and well constructed.
Port Listing: 4 HDMI, 2 SCARTs, Headphone Jack (with Independent Volume Control), S-Video, Composite Video, Common Interface, Component Video, Digital Audio Out (Optical/Toslink), RF In and D-Sub.
