Suddenly one day all the cycle control lights + start and pause lights went on with one control blinking, i.e. normal wash, For a while none of the buttons work. But sometimes one can push the desired buttons and the washer will work for one or a few wash cycles. Then with the lights continuing on and one control blinking and it will not work for a few hours or days, The start and pause buttons never blink. While the machine is functioning only the desired control light works along with the start light,

about the only thing to try would be to remove the inner door panel to get to the control bd then you will see a mylar ribbon looks like a fat piece of scotch tape pull up on the plastic connector that holds it in and pull the ribbon out then get a clean pencil eraser and gently clean the ribbon and put it back in dont forget to push the locking tab back down then try it again and let me know

it is likely that you have a water leak causing the dishwasher to go into flood mode. to find this out tip the dishwasher sideways and see if water seeps out of the base if it does it will need to be sourced.

Usually blinking lights are indicating bad touch panel buttons. Remove kick plate, (black panel under door) and find service instructions there. It will tell you how to test button panel, as well as any codes flashing. Also will tell you hot to try a reset.

The appliance is in lock mode.
Try first disconnecting power by tripping circuit breaker or disconnecting power cord for two minutes.
After that the appliance may still be locked, at that point you will need to reset the dishwasher control module.
The control module is reset by pressing a key combination of keys.

This model does not have heated dry, and the combination uses Energy Saver button instead:
Press the button in rapid sequence without big pauses, or it will not work (it is often called button dance).

The connections were okay. Called a technician who indicated that the problem was the control panel. Thanks for the ideas and help.
