I have an aqualung kronos 1st stage, with DIN insert. My 1st stage is leaking air just past the rubber finger grip that you use to tighten it onto the cylinder! Please help!!

I would check the o-ring on your tank, there is not really a way for air to get past the main regulator seal and leak unless you have a bad o-ring even a a small nick in it can cause air to leak past. Hope that helps

How do I tell the model number of my decor it has two adjustment for effort and flow, S/N: 40D420035

The model number of most Dacor 1st stage regs in on the knob to tighten it to the cylinder valve. The 2nd stage model is on the purge button. If those items are missing or damaged you might try comparing catalogue pictures.

I have an unmarked first stage reg. thats leaking air through the back side through the two small holes

Depending on the model, some regulators (such as Sherwood) always leak a very small stream of fine bubbles as part of the depth compensating mechanism. By this, the regulator adjusts the air flow from the first stage to compensate for increased depth.

As a regulator technician, I would have to see the first stage to make any educated comment or recommendation.

Hi I am trying to convert my Dacor stove/oven from NG to Propane. We can't find the conversion kit anywhere. Any ideas?

Hi, to convert from NG to LP is easier in some ways but harder in others. The pressure part is easy because LP runs at the same pressure that comes into the house so the regulator is normally locked wide open to allow a direct by-pass. You could just as easily remove the regulator and plumb straight in from the houseline. You don't say what model but usually the sealed cooktop burners will need smaller orifices and the oven and broiler orifices are adjustable. If that is the case, the oven and broiler orifices can be tightened until they bottom out which be the correct output for LP. You would need to remove the cooktop orifices and find replacements which are correct for LP, these are non-brand specific. Honestly, if you go to repairclinic.com and enter the brand and model number, I'd be surprised if you couldn't find the conversion kit. Even the Dacor site should be helpful. I found many different kits available at the repairclinic.com site even without a model number. Best of luck.

First and second scuba regulator

The scuba regulator has two parts: a 1st stage and a second stage connected by a hose. The 1st stage connects right to the tank; the 2nd stage is the contraption behind your mouthpiece. Both have an important function in regulating air flow throughout your scuba system.
