Coleman 18 volt battery and charger

Typically, nothing will fit it except a Coleman battery, but you can try. Be sure to test before you buy, and you will need to be really sure the voltage is the same. Be blessed.

Will a ryobi 18 volt charger replace a coleman powermate battery charger? What's your problem?

They look different in their shape where the battery goes so I would say no. To be safe always use the charger from the same manufacturer. There are a few different types of batteries too so it is always best to use the model number of your original charger to search for the replacement.

My coleman 18volt PMD8133XL drill smokes and has a burning smell when oressing triger

Hello, I hate when this happens to my tools. This could be a number of issues. I would think that the transistor that controls the motor speed is shot or the motor itself is loading the transistor causing the smoke, or the brushes internally of the motor are worn and causing the overheating, hence smoke. Is the unit new or well used?

When battery is inserted, the internal fuse blows. I have tried changing it to no avail. Battery may have been inserted backwards at one point,

janaire why not wrap the fuse in aluminum foil? Then the errant part can be identified by the faint red glow. DO NOT bypass your fuse or overfuse the device!!!

Was given a Coleman power drill, model CMD8189. The charger is inoperable. The two resisters on the charger internal circuit board have been fried. The resistor codes have been burnt off, so I cannot

I need the same, but found a Makita multi-voltage charger and have been able to use it. The package says It is for Makita batteries only. HItachi also makes a universal battery charger. I found both at my local Lowe's. The Makita was originally $69, but was marked down to $25. The Hitachi was around $70. You can find either one for good prices on Ebay or Amazon.

Good luck!
