Exact same problem as rlh2001. Brand new unit and both mic ports don't work with otherwise fine mics. Help!

neo-e500 mic doesn't work here either ... what a bummer.

I have spent many hours trying to activate the mic with no results.  It's
pretty sad that the owners manual doesn't have a help line phone number that one can call for assistance.

    Hello all,

The unit with the mic problem was faulty, so I returned it for another unit. After 4 months that unit just stopped wolking.Stay away from RSQ!!! Just a bunch of garbage!!

call http://www.acekaraoke.com/ and ask for their tech support. it turns out that to use the mic you have to have the speakers on some kind of analog setting. we actually returned our unit thinking something was wrong with it but they helped us out with this info.

I replaced this unit with another one I got on Ebay (different brand). Had the same problem! So I figured I was doing something wrong and I was. Eventually I disconnected the digital coax (which I was using for top quality) and just used regular A/V leads. Apparently digital coax can't take the Karaoke music AND the mic audio across to the receiver at the same time. Everything works now. Hope that helps you.

I had the same problem only with one mic jack. it isn't a menu issue. i sent it back to the manufacturer for an rma, they replaced the jack. now both jacks work fine.

When singing the mic has a delay

I had the same problem. How I fixed it I hooked the audio out (red and white) cables direct to my stereo. Seemed to stop the delay.

I hook up the microphone and no voice sound comes out what should I do

Where did you plug the Mic ?. Most receivers do not have Mic input. Only some DVD players with karaoke have a MIc input in front. The phones socket in front of the Receiver is meant for headphones.

I get little sound out of the microphone spots onm my DA-X10Pro. I have a karaoke THE SINGING MACHINE. When I use my karaokee machine mic plug in the mic works fine...but any voice into the mic...

The mics on the singing machine are very low end mics and MAY not work on your other unit. The Voco has very sensitvie inputs to use with "professional" type microphones. The Singing machine mics are going to be fairly high output and likely to overload the voco inputs. Procure some professional mics like Shure, AKG, Sennheiser or others and don't forget to use a balanced to unbalanced adapter or cable on the mics.

Mic doesn't work

Hi Troy,
Have you inserted the mic in the right input? Make sure it is not inserted in the headphones input. Besides that take a look at the display menu and make sure the volume is turned on.

Karaoke not working

Hi, got this info from philips customer service. Was desperately trying to get the karaoke function to work for 2 weeks! Plug in your microphone. Press "KARAOKE" button until you see "MIC OFF" text, and immediately press RIGHT button. It will now shows "MIC ON"! "ECHO", "KEY" options will now shows up when pressing "KARAOKE" button repeatedly. However, microphone sound will not be available on digital output, you'll have to use the audio RCA. Happy singing!
