I don't know how i did this (probably messing around in the service menu), but my picture is off center. when i am watching widescreen format, the picture goes off the right side of the screen. there is a thin ribbon of color that runs down the right side of the screen that was not there formerly. I think this is a quick service menu fix, but i don't know what it is. Please help. the Big Game is only days away. thanks!

I had the same problem last year, I was messing around with the security part of my phone and I dialed in the wrong code so many times that my SIM card locked up on me and I couldn't call or text anyone, except to only 911. that is what is happening to you. Since your SIM card is locked since you punched in the wrong PUK code, call your cell phone customer service, explain the situation, and what they did with me is they sent out a new SIM card in the mail to me. They would probably do the same thing to you as well. and when you get your new SIM card you would have to call your cell phone company customer service and have the SIM card activated. Next time don't mess around with the security part of your phone and don't dial in any wrong codes that you don't know of. I learned my lesson when it happened to me. I went with a prepaid cell phone company and they said that if I did it again that they wouldn't give me another SIM card and I would have to purchase a new phone. good luck :-)
All service manuals for these are online and only available to authorized service centers.
At your own risk: with set on in cable band: 062597 status will take you directly to convergence tech menu--be careful what you do and if not sure do not go to the menu after and select save.
on the instrument cluster.Usually off to the left or right bottom of the screen. You probably have a back lighting bulb out. You can also access it on the center screen by scrolling through the menu with the steering wheel buttons. There are 2 sets of buttons 1 has a picture of a page on it and the 2nd has arrows. I beleive you can scroll with the page button untill you have the odometer reading. Then scroll with the arrow button untill the outside temp is displayed. You may have to mess around with it but I know it is in there. good luck
If you can get the tv to display the blue blackground(usually happens when there is no antenna or cable feed to tv) check to see if the whole screen is a solid blue, if it shows discolored areas around the screen then you might have to "demag" the screen. See if you can rent a demad coil from a tv shop and with tv on turn the coil in circular movements all over the front of screen till blue is solid.good luck!
it isnt worth it, your verticle diflection is out, that board is about 3-4 hundred, and you would probabily need a service center do it(messing with like 30000 volts)and they will probabily charge around 200
That sounds like something that would be in a service manual. Now that your tv warranty is expired, you can probably buy the service manual off samsungparts.com. I wouldn't have suggested that if your tv was in warranty, because that procedure would be in the service menu, which only Samsung trained technicians have access to when the product is in warranty. Just remember, if you go in the service menu and mess things up and can't fix it, you would probably need service for the tv.
Mattrat,
You probably need a simple vertical adjustment in the service menu - - easier said than done. I would personally call out a tech and have them do it, because there are some elaborate save procedures in this unit that could cause you a real mess if you foul it up. Besides, a service-call isn't that much for a reputable shop.

Do not automatically think you need to go into the service menu. I bet you 100 to 1 that you pulled out a plug or a connector somewhere OR one is not seated into the plug all the way. If the set worked with color before you messed with it, there is not a problem in the service menu. The service menu is not the fix all thing. it is there to make fine alignments and adjustments, and as a matter of fact, messing with a service menu even with the service manual is very dangerous. I have seen peeps ruin TV sets by messing around with the service menu alignments. STAY out of these alignments. they are not going to fix a problem that all of a suddenly comes up. Repair the problem in the circuit first. Good Luck
