Question about Epson CX3810 Stylus Color All-In-One Printer
This sounds possibly like a page size problem. Also if you often turn this printer off using an external switch (like a power strip switch) or if you often have power blackouts, there is a possible fault caused with the ink cartridges that may be the problem, the solution being to replace the cartridges - this doesn't sound like the problem unless you get the same when you print. Only other thought is that you may be placing the document to copy in the wrong corner of the scanning plate. The top left as you look at it should be correct, but just check putting a document in all the corners and see what you get. If none of this helps, then I suspect that the data cable linking the scanning carriage to the rest of the machine has a loose coneection or similar that is disconnected when the carriage moves past a particular point on its route.
