Show task bar on computer

What is the operating system? For Windows 7 and older, move the mouse down to the edge of the screen and see if the task bar slides up. If it does, right-click on it and from the scroll down list, select properties. From the pop up settings box, remove the check mark on the Auto-hide the task bar box.
Now the task bar should be ever present at the bottom of the screen.

After i log in a cant use the keyboard for typing or inputting text

1. Go to System Preferences (it's usually in your dock)
2. Click on Keyboard.
3. Make sure your key repeat rate and delay until repeat is set to fast and short, respectively.
4. Open TextEdit.
5. Try typing there. If this still does not work, I suggest you to bring it to your nearest apple store since there might be a defect on your laptop.
6. As an alternative, click SHOW KEYBOARD & CHARACTER VIEWER IN MENU BAR.
7. Beside your battery/energy saver preferences and date would be a small box, click on that and it will show you SHOW KEYBOARD VIEWER for you to use your mouse/trackpad on.

I have lost my Menu Bar and have tried going to the Control Panel

try using your menu key on your keyboard. its next to the Ctrl key, that will bring up your start menu which shuld also show the task bar. right click on the task bar and click on properties. make sure "auto hide Task bar is not checked. and lock task bar. you may also have lowered it below your view. try moving your mouse pointer down at the bottom of the screen and see if your pointer turns into an arrow., if it does hold the left mouse button and move it up untill your task bar shows.

Missing battery indicator in the task bar

Hi,

No this is more typical with Windows Vista users as updates can disable the icons from the notification bar.

Chose 'taskbar' tab, then click 'customize' and chose the option for the battery icon and change to 'show' .

If you need anymore help please post back.

Must turn off after each use because of batteries?

No, that is not true. The batteries will last a long time in the keyboard and mouse. I use rechargeable batteries in mine and don't have to change them out for 6 months or so. If you installed the Logitech software for the mouse and keyboard, you should get a notification in your task bar (near the clock) that will tell you when the batteries are getting low. Hope this helps.
