Menu controls I have a 22" Luxor 22-860-cob television. Recently when I turned my Xbox on, the screen displayed in black and white. I have had this issue before and managed to deal with it by changing the PAL settings in the TV menu. However since then I have broken the Luxor remote and I am using a top up tv remote instead. When I am trying to change the PAL settings this time, I can access the menu but cannot scroll through it or change the settings. Is there a way I can control the menu using the 4 buttons on the side of the TV?

SOURCE: I have a brand new

While the set is turned on, you need to hold the power button until the set shuts off and the led in the middle of the bottom flashes once. Then quickly release the power button and press the vol - and input buttons together along with the power button. Your TV should then turn on and should show you a blue box with the letter K. Now press the vol- and channel- buttons at the same time. You should now be in the service menu. With your remote arrow up until the top line says industry init. Arrow to the right and hit enter. Screen should turn green and say factory init success. I hope this helps you.

I have luxor TV model lux-22-822-COB blue light on but will not turn on with remote control or button on the side of tv, any suggestions.

Check the remote control for its infra-red emission. Check it with fresh batteries. Check by pressing all the buttons on it; and see whether all of it generates infrared signal while pressing. If it is found OK, check and replace the infrared sensor inside the TV. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. It has details about how to check a remote control; by one among the post. Pull up older posts. If the remote control is found OK; check and replace the infra-red sensor inside the TV. Contact any service technician.

Check the remote control for its infrared emission. Check it with fresh batteries. Check it by pressing all the keys. You can detect the presence of infra-red emission from the remote control, using a cell-phone camera. If you wish to get more details about how to check a remote control, please visit this site. One among the posts has details about it. Surf the site with patience. In some cases, the remote control might need to clean.
