Question about NEC Lands Phones

60 button module addition to NEC Dterm phone

My Nec Dterm E Series has an add-on module with a 60 button visual display field for monitoring, transferring and/or answering other lines. However you can't just press the button to transfer. As stated earlier I can answer the call by inputting the extension on the main phone. But the buttons on the 60 button module will not work for transfers.

The feature has to be allowed in class of service. you must than hit transfer, dial a 9 than the full number. you need to know how to program the phone system to change class of service. ldtsnj.com

NEC dterm series II phones-name desplay

This works on the series E phones. It may or may not work on the series II.

Press the Speaker key (do not use the handset).
Dial the Name Assignment access code and wait for the special dial tone.
Using the key pad spell the name. Press each number until the letter appears.
When the correct letter is displayed Press the HOLD key. Pressing the HOLD key will lock the letter in place and advance to the next position.
Repeat steps 3 and 4 continue to spell the name.

Pressing the TRANSFER key will change the current letter to lower case.
Example to enter the name “Pat” press:
77 HOLD 22 TRANSFER HOLD 88 TRANSFER HOLD

Nec DTerm Series i - Feature Light Flashing URGENT

Thankfully I have found a solution that has worked.

A 'winking' (flashing) feature button indicates the station is in call forward - all calls mode.

To cancel this setting do the following

Lift the handset or press speaker
Dial the access code 4 + 2 (set as default)
Receive confirmation tone and restore handset or press speaker
